We bought a Solo Sports Ultimate Baseball trainer for my son's 12th birthday & he enjoys it very much. It's great to see him outside practicing with this trainer nearly every day, even if it means getting into a little trouble for not finishing his homework until super late. For that sake, I'd rate this product very high. He loves it.
The pitching practice bucket is probably his favorite part, but he also enjoys the bounce-back net. The batting practice thing isn't much use, but on a rainy day it's worth a few laughs if we set it up in the garage.
However, now that it has been in use for a few weeks, the elastic bands that attach the nets to the frame have started to fray & break. He has been hauling the trainer in & out of the garage at least once per day & often dragging it along the ground (grass 95% of the way). It is rather heavy & tall, so more than a little cumbersome for a small guy. This has all but destroyed the elastic fasteners that keep this trainer intact. One completely snapped & there are 5 more about to break. So, noticing that there are no replacement parts on amazon, I tried to contact the Solo company to get some replacement bands. Their "customer service" line never rings through to a human, & I have not received any response yet from their "info" email address. As best as i can tell, this company only wants to sell new products & has zero interest in supporting the products already sold.
If you buy this product, my advice is one of the following:
1. Find a good spot for it & don't move it very often.
2. If you do move it, make sure it doesn't drag along the ground.
3. Get a little creative & figure a way to protect the elastic bands when you assemble it.
4. Take it upon yourself to find a more durable replacement to the elastic fasteners.
If I had done one of these things, my rating would probably be a lot higher. If Solo had either answered their phone or replied via email with a good answer supporting their product, my rating would probably be a lot higher. But, I didn't know any better & Solo has sent a clear tacit message to me, so I am rather disgusted with this product. It's a real heart-breaker because this is such a fun thing for our budding ball player.

After reviewing multiple pitch-backs and training tools, I settled on this one for my 8 year old. While this has been only his 2nd year in the league, he's a natural and has strong fundamentals so I needed a versatile trainer. The assembly is simple and quick. The pitch-back net, frame, bungee attachments, and pitching strike zone target are all heavy duty and certainly meet or exceed the quality of any of the "name brand" units with the addition of the hitting target. The hitting target is a great tool to improve eye-hand coordination and swing mechanics. There was noticeable improvement in hitting after only an hour of use. I would recommend this to any baseball / softball parent for kids from Tee Ball through AA, and have already forwarded the link to several of our team parents.

I bought this to help with my 9 year old sons pitching. It was very easy to assemble, maybe 15 minutes and it is very sturdy. It has really helped with my sons pitching accuracy and allows me to working on his batting too. Very glad I purchased it, we use it several times a week to augment his regular practices.
